We love food magazines but haven't always been the best at putting them to use.
That changed in early 2008, when we read this post on Serious Eats and resolved to start putting our food magazines to work, cooking at least one recipe from each magazine.
So we started The Bitten Word, where we post results from our cooking adventures and show you how the dishes turned out.
In addition to Gourmet, Bon Appétit, Cook's Illustrated, Food & Wine, Everyday Food, Martha Stewart Living, Saveur and Food Network Magazine, we also feature family recipes and occasionally our own creations.
The Bitten Word was named in 2009 by The London Times as "one of 50 of the world's best food blogs."
We're Clay and Zach and we live and cook in Washington, DC.
